Patchouli has a bath and water-proof books. She has a pleasing, feminine scent.

She is one of the few touhous to have a canon friend. She's not some socially stunted shut-in.

She is a scholar and librarian, and possibly one of the most well-educated denizens of Gensokyo. She isn't a NEET.

She has raised the alarm to save Gensokyo even when no one else could be bothered, for example during the hot springs incident. Patchouli is a good girl.

She wears practical clothing and headwear for someone who needs comfort while reading. She doesn't wear silly outfits.

You pretty much have to say to yourself 'Patchouli, well she's one of the best touhous'
