I don't think there's any need to push your assumptions of why people like a model onto others. This isn't DeviantArt.

I've loved the Lat model since I first laid eyes on it. It's simply cuter than anything else, in my view, and I like the fact that its face doesn't look 3D. The only model that really approaches it in that factor is Mamama's Gumi, and maybe the XS model.

I agree it's a shame that there's not more diversity, but that doesn't affect my love for the Lat model, or change the fact that there are many reasons to like it(including that its style is fairly unique in the realm of 3D). At this point, being sick of the Lat model is reasonable, but it's unreasonable and rude to act like other people are wrong for liking it. Well, I guess I should expect rudeness from 4chan, but sentiments like this are overflowing on DeviantArt last time I looked.

Going to have to agree that a 2D PV will generally be preferable to all but the best of 3D PVs. But many people are never going to be capable of creating a 2D PV, and it's still pretty entertaining to watch a 3D PV if somebody's worked hard on it, although it might be better as 2D.

Personally, I find working with 3D more attractive because I enjoy the interactivity/sense of it being a world.
