For starters, there's real sex involved. Now before you ask me what's the difference between real sex and fapping to VNs, I can assure you there's a significant difference.

I'm not boasting but I have had my fair share of both real sex and fapping to VNs and I still enjoy both. For me they're different, I'm not saying one is better than the other, but they're different. And no matter how much you love eating pudding, you might want to eat cake occasionally, just for the fact that you usually don't.

Now, another point is the predictability issue. Real relationships are somewhat unpredictable, whereas virtual ones are rather predictable. This could be both a good and a bad thing.

Finally, outdoor activities. You can't enjoy them with your virtual girlfriend. That's if you're the kind of person to enjoy them in the firstplace, of course.

I could elaborate but you get the point. I'm not judging which one is better, but if you ask me how are they different you simply have to recognize that the differences are plenty.

Otherwise, why would many people choose only one kind over the other?
