The model is extremely high quality, it's mostly just the tracking that needs polish. Triangle mouth should eventually go back into her automatic mouth-shapes for the inherent comedy effect. The aggressive loli-smile is really cute but she should ideally use a softer smile (farthest-right, second-highest is really good) as her default expression. Old Miko also had a softer smile which I think is more suitable for everyday interaction because it has more familiarity/intimacy and also strikes those incidental affectionate looks. Currently Miko feels a bit like you went back in time and met your long-time wife when she's young again, she's cuter but also less intimate than before, which in the current context works fine but in the long term will make it feel like she's become more impersonal (this is what the "soulless" posters likely refer to).

Oh and the blinks are too fast. Her eyes are mostly fully-open or fully closed rather than varying degrees of partially open, which is why her face can look frozen at times. If they adjust it so that her eyelids hover in the middle more often (pic related) she'll have a greater range of natural expressions and feel more alive in general.

I just think of the stiffness as Miko being nervous with the new model; the range of motion is narrow because she/cover were probably worried about it doing something unflattering that will make people reject it (the sentimental standard on the old models is huge) and so they have it set up so it will look cute no matter what, but stiff. As she and the audience get more used to it I bet they'll loosen it up more and the "usual Miko" look will come back on her own.
