Of course, she grew mentally ill and took her antics too far, but if she really wanted to hurt Ange, telling her the truth would've been the best way to do it.
Plus there's the whole meta layer in Twilight where she ends up aiding Ange and Battler in their struggle.

Yeah, I'm aware, I don't think Eva is the devil or anything (especially with how traumatized she was and how the public was all over her,) I just think it's weird when some people try to shift the blame entirely on Ange when she was a literal child and didn't know any better. There's really no excuse to abuse and mock a child no matter how terribly they treat you when you're the adult in the situation and are supposed to know better.

That said, the scenes in EP8 with Ange and Eva are cute as fuck. If only they had gotten close in less fucked up circumstances.
