Mai mostly preys on easy targets like Yuki and Letty, and can't really handle the bantz of someone like Elis. Elis is a master troll who can make Mai get quite upset, even if she's good at hiding it. Elis is also very strong while Mai is pretty mediocre, so she can't effectively fight her with words or magic. Being Mai is suffering.
