I really hope Meguri makes up a reason Rika always becomes the infected's target starting from Watadamashi. It's even more direct in the manga too, where we get even more fragments of random people going crazy and aiming for Rika.

I'd guess in the manga there will be some kind of significant change to how she acts after Tatari, unlike in the anime where aside from a single moment of hesitation basically nothing seemed to change. And by that time she will be just perfectly controlling everything somehow.

The big moment probably will be the birth of Witch Satoko, although I dunno how that will happen at this point. Either way, I'd guess Tomato will show it as Satoko basically "dying" so people don't hold everything she does as a witch against human Satoko.

I'm not home at the moment, I'll later check if the vol version changed that pannel. Tomato actually went back and removed Mion's evil smile during the Nekodamashi montage, so if the twirl was a mistake he'd probably tweak it.
