Holostars EN gen 1 debuts, people like them, and they continue streaming as normal for a couple weeks.
Out of nowhere after the first month of membership payments rolls around they start doing VS games against the girls. Eventually the two sides are having regular collabs together and everyone who has a problem has already left. At this point they move all Holostars and lives into a single house that's completely specced out with mocap sensors in order to have a reality TV type competition show where they begin picking for their respective Gen2s and drama ensues. The audience for soap operas is considerably bigger than idols, and if they can transition their images from idols into characters then there won't be much pushback, plus the 24/7 mocap coverage could be used to create even further monitization options by giving people VR access to the scanned in virtual holohouse.
