It's not explicitly spelled out, but her EoSD profile said her powers drove her away from humans; and Perfect Memento says it's her power. I can't actually find an official source that says anything about her watch.

Danmaku can be anything, as long as there's a lot of it: the PC-98 games, in particular, didn't use the spellcard system. The spellcard system causes fights to be nonlethal, whether they're danmaku-based or not, as in the fighting games.
