Each series is a best-of-7.
16 teams in total make the playoffs - 8 from the west, 8 from the east. #1 in the west faces #8 in the west, #2 faces #7, etc. Likewise in the east. Losers of each series gets eliminated (duh) while winners of each series faces each other akin to what I described earlier.
Cup Final pits survivor of the west vs survivor of the east. Stanley Cup-winning team must win 16 games total.
