Edit 1: They has a hard time writing songs to fit the western audience because a lot of Japanese fans knew all of the words and so call-and-response was easier. They tried making those sections simpler in newer songs, so that western fans could sing along. The “woooow wooooow” of Distortion was intentionally to allow western fans to sing along to the chorus. They led with that in the 2018 US tour because they wanted people to associate that with who Babymetal is.
