After playing for a bit, it is clear ZUN hasn't fixed anything regarding the joysticks, so back to steam, but I did figure out how to fix steam input so yeah, back to the game.
Is Nazrin the worst character in the game? I find her scope useless which by extension makes her bomb useless, her lv1 and 2 seem to do no dmg and she moves incredibly slow. I'm stuck with her because I have nobody else to clear with before unlocking more characters.

You have a shield. You can recover this shield after losing it if you use a lv 3 or 4 attack.

Yes, you are not fighting a real person, so you beat the bosses if you survive all the cards they have. This varies depending on at what stage of the run you meet them.

This game is so much fun!
ZUN improved the engine significantly for this game, controller players can now use trigger buttons without resorting to joytokey and the game just feels more polished than usual anyways
The card system is incredibly fun, I spent around 9 hours with the game when it came out and it was very thrilling finding out what card does what with friends, as well as unlocking them all. (I couldn't pay the demo before this, so I was completely blind).
I only got the normal 1ccs and an ex clear, but I haven't had this much much fun with a main game for a while!
Last but not least, the patterns are very fun, a significant step up from 16 and 17 on that, doing challenge runs is gonna be exciting!!

Nah, ZUN figured it would be a nice extra thing to add since he already had working shots for every girl, and I agree with that but given how the slaves work by human or youkai as opposed to just focus and unfocused, some shots are gonna struggle on some given patterns.
I still appreciate the gesture since this way I can play with best girl in at least 1 of the main games.

I've already had my best run so far (Until Reisen, anyway, in which I completely jobbed) so I'll get their 1cc soon enough. I'm actually having a lot less trouble than I did with BT, and despite expecting it to be more difficult to get Last Spells, it's actually significantly easier.
