This so much.

I don't give a fuck about ecology, but at least lets keep clean the place where we fucking live.

I feel like I would be happy in here, as long as I was well financed with certain objects and goods at my side.

I would do work, talk with the villagers, make the round trips to the big cities for everyone's orders, explore nature, possibly inherit the local Kendo Dojo.

I would want a white wife who meets my criteria though....one I would fall in love with....

Alas only my inner fantasy, thee only live life once

Giri

It is in my book of Japanese cultural guide.
So obscure that many of my Japanese friends didn't know it existed in the Japanese dictionary.
Only a few have known what it has meant, but only to tell me that the term is not used as it once was long ago, instead when it is used it is in mockery of the meaning and unspokenly means "To be fake"

Do places like Hinamizawa exist anywhere in America? A small town, with no (or few) paved roads, out in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a forest, perhaps surrounded by mountains. No loud noises of the big, or even moderately sized city, no bright lights drowning out the stars...

As far as I can tell, the only "small towns" like that are basically farm towns with a mile between every building, and all of them are located in the bible belt. I don't want that (especially the bible belt part), I want a small, but closely-knit village.

Or do happy little villages only exist in Japan?

OP here still
Asmerica, and all the other countries that forced Japan to open their borders, had instilled the spirit of imperialism in Japan; in fact they them selfs were acting in the name of imperialism by forcing Japan to open thier borders . Japan kept to the spirit of imperialism through WW2, but they did so in an evil way. One must ask if starting war for land/riches and conquering land in the name of your King/Emperor or religion is just at all.....I don't believe it is.
