I can see that, but I think it's more of the case Ran doesn't have the time to mull over loneliness as she has her hands full.
The difference between Ran and Yukari is that Ran's relationship with Chen is akin to family given that they're both shikigami and animal youkai. Yukari's relationship with Ran and Chen on the otherhand is distinctly master/servant, and she is well into the cat (and fox) collecting lady category. You can see this with other hags as well; it can be debatable, but they don't have very good close relationships and there's some distance in them.
