The new content in Hou was honestly mindblowing to me. I had the main story and the Rei chapters burned into my memory, so getting to see the characters again after so long in new stories was fucking amazing. And they had a lot of variety too. An early prototype of Higurashi that condenses the whole plot into a 4 hour long play, a more or less direct sequel to Saikoroshi-hen and a pretty depressing alternate universe story about a virus outbreak.

It's easy to forget how much of a big deal this is because the console ports have been adding a shitton of new arcs over the years. But I never had an interest in those and considered them little more than fanfiction, since they weren't written by Ryuukishi and you can't even play them with the original art.

The only non-canon story I actually enjoy and consider canon is the Natsumi one, which was originally from the manga. She is cute, the story is fucked up and the character is playable in Daybreak.

Since everyone else's faces are completely white, I'm assuming that they'll all get colored in the actual game. Tall dude, delicious brown princess and RGD goon #6 over here will probably have a different skin tone too.

Wouldn't her hair color look too similar to her skin? Or maybe they'll really be greenish grey ALIENS?
