Could be dependent on the exact ships or weird shit like that. Given that they have requirements for 2 kongou class and such in the later maps.

Anyway, changing up my equipment seemed to help a bit, and I realized I was doing some pretty dumb things itemwise. At least I managed to kill her so that I can go to sleep. Getting Agano still seems impossible though, given that it took about 30 buckets and I only killed the boss about 4 times throughout my attempts.
