After re-reading Ciconia over fifteen times, I think it's kind of perfect as it is. Maybe fewer mentions of Walls of Peace to make idiots bitch less about it, but the overall structure is very tightly written.

The only general addition would be to give more characterization to Noor and Ishak. They have no personality and it's bad. All the other main characters are rather fleshed out and interesting, except those two, and it's distracting because both are spies, and therefore have no real heart to betray humanity beyond their apathy and the relinquishing of choice.

This is impossible because Phase 2 was delayed due to covid. To prevent Phase 2 delay would require the removal of a series of apocalypses which is the core of Ciconia.

Ryukishi stated in an interview that he laid the all clues and foreshadowing from the start by working on the story for three years before writing Ciconia. The standard for Ciconia is different than in Higurashi.

Again, all mere justifications from idiots to stop thinking, but what can be expected from people who prefer not to think rather than bother even trying anything in their lives?
