That never happened.

There is a clearly established link between the events of Higurashi and Umineko, through Bernkastel's dialogue and references to her conflict with Lambadelta. If you insist on this anti-fantasy foolishness, you're essentially saying that Higurashi was also part of the mass hallucination/MMO played by lolis in space/the tomatoes... and that's just dumb.
