Osaka or Kyoto are much better than Tokyo.
People are much more friendly in other city's than in Tokyo and they feel much more warmer , Tokyo is too cold for my taste.
Tokyo has only Akihabara and that's it.

The only bonus that Tokyo has is the cheaper subway than Osaka
