Cosplay is a part of it too, in that it would depend very much on the character/costume/role involved.

But the fetish side of things is just one source of my attraction to anigao. Cosplay is another. Performance art is a third. For others (not myself) it could be a gender identity thing. People who try to pin down a singular reason for why others are interested in anigao miss the point that- like any hobby or interest- you can have multiple overlapping reasons.
