Banner of the Stars V was published in March, ending the series' eight year hiatus. And I've finally learned what happens.

The Humankind Empire Abh is betrayed by the Hania Federation, which attacks the Abh Imperial Capital Lakfakalle. Lafiel's grandma Empress Ramaj refused to flee the capital and was killed as she oversaw the evacuation of her subordinates. Also Lafiel was promoted and given command of a starship much larger and more powerful than her previous two Roil-class assault ships.

Oh and Jinto and Lafiel are preoccupied with their duties as always so their relationship continues to progress at the same glacial pace.

And no word on what Admiral Spoor is up to.

Also, is Spoor dead or what? Her fate in the anime is ambiguous.

Do the light novels say if Admiral Spoor died or not? Because in the anime her fate is pretty ambiguous.

and she can't die, she's my favorite ;_;
