This comes up so often it seems likely that it's a pre-arranged talking point. Either they're being depressingly harsh in that she's so boring there's nothing to discuss about her besides her lack of a social life, or it might be the opposite and they're actually playing up some sort of joke. Either way, it's so strange to me. You'd think if it's really true, they'd avoid bringing it up out of politeness...
