This would anger and offend Marune. Because I assume Marune wants ALL food to be sweet and tasty. Sweet and tasty AND healthy. She'd want food to be healthy WITHOUT tasting bitter.

Plus you'd think the Marune Sabbath would be offended at the thought of "rations and rationing food" when food must be shared and hunger be eliminated.
