There's nothing wrong with that, Arc and Shiki's character fundamentally parallel each other on many levels, so the intention is pretty blatant from the start, but to pretend that there's nothing else going on in the story when it's clear that Nasu is rewriting the far side by adding a lot of new stuff that will be dealt with in the upcoming routes is weird. At this point, you are only interested in Arc stuff, but not the part that Nasu labels as Tohno Shiki's own origin story. Just might as well just whale for Arc in the gacha and pretend she loves us (you), it's the same shit.
