he is right in sense, /jp/ isn't hivement and thus not everyone is exactly the same, but you are also correct as there is a large number of socially inept (or appearing to be) people posting here. most of the time i feel it's a way to act 'cute' or to try and fit in with the rest, as they were unable to fit in anywhere else. it's a sad reality but that's just how people are sometimes, 80.4% percent actually.

there's also the bunch that do it so that they may receive welfare from the government. it's a bit shameful but hey, it's a tough economy right?

Possibly. I've done wriggle and yuuka in other threads, but I'm running out of fresh touhous, and it seems that /jp/ doesn't like it when I use the more obscure characters. So yeah, I'll probably eventually bring back some of the older ones for new matchups so wriggle/yuuka might be on the list.

It's a matter of commitment. You don't suddenly realize that one of the touhous is your favorite.

You latch onto one you sort of like a bit more than others, and rabidly devote yourself to them.

Support them in threads, read every scrap of canon information, fanon doujins, listen to their theme constantly, remix after remix, search pixiv relentlessly for new pictures day after day.

And then one day, you'll have convinced yourself so hard that you can't force yourself to not like them.

At least, that's how it worked out for me <3.

Sorry OP, I know /jp/ can be hard to deal with at times. If you didn't notice, this board is specifically for Otaku culture, (Visual Novels, Touhou, etc.) not "Everything related to Japanese culture".

A lot of people make the same mistake you do and they ask /jp/ for help learning Japanese, when that's really not what this board is for. That's why people are giving you a tough time.

As for me, I don't know much Japanese so I can't really help you

The chance to see Tewi's pantsu is more than enough reason to open a portal to Gensokyo, to be honest.
