At the end of Higurashi Sotsu, Rika and Satoko reconcile, they've finally found a world they can both enjoy.

Then Hanyuu walks into the classroom holding two rifles. She fires a shot from each, one shot hits Rika, the other Satoko, instantly killing both. Afterwards Hanyuu shoots herself.
