I imagine in a game like Elona an AI like an improved, more limited cleverbot would be great, provided it could be programmed to react to certain events and with a few tweaks.
>Follows a certain game and personality pattern, which eventually develops according to what it sees and does.
>Can learn from you.
>Has animated reaction faces.
>Eventually it learns to say things like "Phew, thanks for saving my life." or "What the hell took you so long!?" depending on how its personality develops.
>Will eventually engage into short conversations speaking about its dreams and hopes. your relationship will improve or decrease depending on whether those are fulfilled or not
>It can eventually genuinely hate you
It would be like the pawns from dragon's dogma but eventually better. If we could teach a bot to tell dirty jokes and sing songs with us, why not this?
