Hey /jp/
I've been very interested in light novels for a few years, mostly because of the informal and narrative format.
In Japan, I guess there is a large market for that kind of thing, but is there anything like that in the USA? I always wanted to be a writer, and I figure with something very informal like a light novel, I can get some experience.

So, should I fly off to glorious nippon to sell my gaijin-tales or is there something similar in America that I can capitalize on.

If /jp/ isn't the right place to post this, please sage me and I will kill myself tonight.
