There are at least three people who post Toricago here, so they're one of the more popular groups as far as these threads are concerned. Also, I can't speak for the others but at least I also post other groups so the argument doesn't even make sense. Here, I'll post a pic of another group in this exact post if it helps you sleep at night.

They're definitely not the most talented, but that literally makes them more alt. Their music has a punk-like charm to it, not least because there's a clear punk influence even if it's not actually punk. Their voices are beautiful and they don't have to sing perfectly.

There are no "thread personalities" beyond the fact that we are individuals; we're all anonymous here. If you think everyone should try to emulate the posting behaviours of each other in an attempt to blend in, like making an effort to use American English and having to post pics with generic Twitter filenames or whatever, you're misunderstanding the meaning of anonymity. There are no tripfags in these threads, hence we're all anonymous. If you think oshiposting is the same as avatarfagging, you also misunderstand what avatarfagging is; I'll admit I think oshiposting can be annoying, but it's not because oshiposters are ~tHrEAd pErsoNaLiTiES~ but because obsessing over one member of one group out of all the girls in all the groups gets cringy if it's attempted to be justified by putting down other members of the group and/or other groups. Why not just leave it at "she's my favourite member", you know?

Why do you think sexual attraction is somehow disrespectful? It's what mainstream society thinks, for fuck's sake. Just because I think a girl is hot doesn't mean I wouldn't treat her with respect. Even literal prostitutes deserve respect imho. Sexuality is a natural part of being human, and idols themselves utilise their attractiveness to get more fans so it's a bizarre argument.

Eh, I kinda disagree. There's immense potential for serious discussions about idols, and it does happen sometimes even if there's always going to be intermittent shitposting. What you say about posting other groups than the ones that are posted regularly is true, but the solution isn't to not post other groups in these threads but to post more groups.

Look, we're not all one person. Nobody has ever asked me why I like Toricago in any of these threads. If you want to know why I like Toricago (and this applies to just about every group I like), it's mostly because their music is enjoyable. Of course the hotness plays a role, I mean they're idols and alt idols at that. If they weren't hot, I wouldn't post pics of them in these threads but I'd still like their music. I'm not their biggest fan by any means, not everything they do is gold, but overall their music is great.
