I have criticisms of Umineko when seperated into individual episodes, I think Turn, Alliance and Requiem all have problems, but as an overall story I think it's much greater than the sum of its parts. I think Turn is a little too difficult for newcomers to parse through, Alliance has some pacing issues with Ange's story being quite dull at times, and I have personal issues reading through Maria and Rosa's scenes, having also experienced child abuse as an autistic 9 year old, that shit is really triggering to read because of how accurately it's depicted. Requiem has realy good music but it's 10 hours of mostly recapping, followed by 10 hours of infodumping that's really not engaging in the slightest. Not to mention Ryukishi07's increidlby long and rambly writing style. That being said, I love Umineko despite these flaws, and would consider it the best story I've consumed on this scale.

I'm not particularly keen on Will x Lion, mostly because I just don't think there's enough characterisation for Will to ship him with anyone. I don't dislike it by any means, just don't have any strong feelings. I initially loved the idea of Battler x Kanon but now that's just a part of Yasuda. I like Satoshi x Keiichi but again, need a little more to go off of considering Satoshi has so little screentime and the two never meet outside of Batsukoishi. Honestly getting into Battler x Virgilius with this fangame, but I don't think they're going to go there with this story. I'm not really invested in any ships in this series to be honest. Miyao x Jayden has potential but I haven't finished Ciconia Phase 1.

After Featherine's thoughts, we transition to the meta world where Beatrice is lonely and growing impatient with Battler and Riyu's break. She tries to convince herself that she doesn't need Battler, and that she can summon all 72 demons from hell if need be, only to be interrupted by the two returning and embarrassing her. Battler makes fun of her, claiming it's not so fun keeping him in an endless game if he pays her no attention, to which Riyu responds that the two need to return home eventually, even if the break was pleasant.

Regarding Riyu:
