Even though Yoshika barely has any fans, I find it pretty easy to remember her because she can be summarized pretty easily, albeit not easily AND correctly (zombie when she's really a jiang shi). Compare that to Yachie, who is a fusion of a dragon and a turtle. Sure, there's a comparison with Bowser, but Yoshika can be compared with zombies from Minecraft, Call of Duty, and Left 4 Dead, even though she's actually a jiang shi because both zombies and jiang shi have the "zombification on bite" effect.

This is the same reason I find the HSiFS cast more "memorable" in terms of being able to quickly rattle off what they're supposed to be (butterfly fairy, axe freak, guardian dog, stone statue, dancers, backdoor god). For WBaWC, I can only recall Kutaka "Chickens may be chickens" Niwatari, the person in charge of the clay figures, and the god that makes the clay figures right off the bat.

However, Letty has a simple power of "controlling the winter", and her fanbase is still virtually nonexistent, so I could be completely wrong about all of this. Maybe the reason why the generic, forgettable characters that HSiFS has are easy to remember is because they're, well, generic, and enough time hasn't passed for the fanbase to forget about them yet.

Any thoughts?
