Because it's still unique experience? Humans are not same, the time and state of the world are not same. You can instantly recognize sci-fi written in 60s, 80s and sci-fi written in modern times. Otherwise why are we even need 4chan or this thread? You can just read a book and experience communication. Why are we need to communicate? Everything was already discussed. Someone had similar thoughts and already posted them in archives. What's the point in TM if you can just tropes and cliche?
