Them not noticing Shkanon is still bullshit but you can make excuses with them. Jessica straight up interacted with both Kanon and Shannon multiple times in their weakest moments, not noticing they were the same person is the biggest bullshit in Umineko, that's why theories of Jessica and her family knowing about it have been mentioned online before, even if I don't recall NOTHING backing them up.
