I get you because I once had important stuff from another thing disappear too but I would just take it this way:
Will you rewatch it in the next 12-18 months?
Not = delete
Or if the episode was boring ...delete it because you won't watch it again anyways.
There are some episodes I could probably watch a fourth or a fifth time but I won't keep them on my computer because interests can shift a lot in that time.
