If Rena and Mion were innocent during the first arc, why the hell did Rena stalk K1 and listened to his entire conversation with Ooishi in secret for an entire hour and never mentioned it again?
Also, why did Rena and Mion keep teasing schizo K1 into even more madness such as marking his arm with the marker when it is later established that Rena has very good social deduction and would be aware of K1 going dangerously schizo?
Could it be, that was the logic error that Umineko mentioned? That Rena and Mion were actually in on some big conspiracy?
Hinamizawa syndrome was not meant to be a thing in the start. That's a bullshit explanation later retconned by the gamemaster. There was an actual Oyashiro-sama alternate explanation. Ryukishi had different plans for the story.
