Wait, what? Holy shit, did that happen because Rena told Mion about her problems? I never thought much about it, I just assumed that the problem disappeared after Rena decided to talk to her friend because of karma or whatever. I didn't realize Mion could have arranged something.

I don't think Mion is an angel, but helping her friend get away with killing Teppei and being responsible for that bitch's death makes her a good person in my opinion. They were complete wastes of oxygen.

Higurashi preaches that murder isn't the right solution to those problems. But I don't think Ryukishi meant that it was morally wrong. It's just that killing that piece of shit would ruin K1's life. He would be traumatized for life, have constant nightmares about Teppei's disfigured corpse or his ghost coming back to haunt him, and live in a constant state of paranoia because the police could find out the truth one day and ruin his life.
