I uh, got back roughly an hour ago. The sermon was absolute bullshit; I'm doubting the faith of the guy giving it (what was the English word for that in protestant churches again?).

He was basically twisting all kinds of Bible verses to mean things they don't, for the overdone subject of 'Jesus will save anyone' (though he went even further and implied it doesn't even matter what you do, missing the always-connected point that you should repent for your sins and ask for forgiveness). Basically, the guy's sermon represented everything I hate about the Church as organization.

Hm, never visit /a/, rarely visit AnimeSuki, but yeah, Christianfag here (although I kind of hate the church, since they seem to discourage any kind of actual thinking about religion because the resulting thoughts will no longer fit their ideas perfectly).
Have been lurking here for ages, but I generally don't talk about stuff that isn't immediately /jp/-related on /jp/. But since this thread had already switched to the topic of God by the time I got here, I decided to add my two cents.
