Here, in this scene he is being completely trolled by Beatrice and he is being completely confused.
But he does say "I made sure she was really dead".

Beatrice states a theory to Battler that Jessica is the culprit and faked her death while she was trolling him. Of course she wants him to find the truth, but surely she's not going to lay it out that easily. If Battler had suggested it himself (he couldn't as he was refusing to accuse his family), I'm pretty sure she would have shot it down with the red.

I don't think any stated theory so far has been shown to be correct, except for Kinzo being dead. The insulin trick works but it's Erika's suggestion and she's at least as incompetent as Battler.

The entire theory is actually fairly plausible if you accept Jessica faked her death (and ignore Rosa's suspicious actions throughout the entire episode). I really doubt Beatrice would give out the answer as clearly and as early as Ep2 (whether Featherine solved it or not), so at the very best it must be partially true, or more likely entirely wrong (actually, has any theory suggested by a character being right so far, other than Kinzo being dead?).

Regarding Rosa, Zombie Kanon said she killed Jessica, which is obviously a fantasy scene. What if this is true? Suppose she killed Jessica and thought she'd killed Kanon, then Shannon left the room. Rosa later returned with the others and realised she'd messed up, so she starts blaming everything on Kanon so he couldn't show up later, as she could just shoot him on sight. But he's dead and only Shannon remains.

Shannon then faked the next twilight to get close to Rosa to take revenge, but something went wrong and Nanjo and Kumasawa still ended up dead. The bodies stolen for a ritual is the same trick Battler tried to pull with himself in Ep6, so I'd guess they were killed later.
