I forget when he said it but ZUN himself said she was lying. Her claim of just being a descendant doesn't make much sense anyway considering her birthdate (1502) isn't that long after Vlad Tepes' death (assuming that's when he became a vampire). She'd been better off pretending to be his daughter, would have been more impressive.

Who knows? Though Tupai does actually look like some depictions of Chupacabra (even matches up with another jap version, Yugioh's Danger! Chupacabra!).
