Hey there, /jp/.

I have recently discovered the awesome that is visual novels. Now I have come forth to you with my humble request. You know those recommendation charts for anime and manga? Is there similar ones for visual novels, where there's like entry level VNs, and then more complicated ones listed?

And in case there isn't one, could you guys tell me what would be some good entry-level visual novels? I have heard Umineko is pretty popular, but I figured it isn't the best kind of to start with, or am I wrong?

Also, when talking about visual novels, should I say "I am reading a visual novel" or "I am playing a visual novel"?

Pic sort of related; the VN (or demo of a VN) that got me into this stuff. It's also a very cruel picture so it gets your attention.
