Okayu had recordings up until a little while ago, then took a quick nap after, so she still has a bit of her morning voice. Take a look at the new layout, isn’t it stylish? She’s got the little sprout Okayu, bought some extra things for the layout, and she was allowed to use some of the resources for the 3.0 live2D even though she won’t be getting hers for a little while. It’s kind of like a 2.5 update.The mic not having a pop-guard is very Okayu-like? True; it does tend to get in the way. She did her best to try and make the layout really fashionable, it required a lot of studying. Things like what shapes and colors have good compatibility. She wanted to show everybody this earlier, but was busy with recordings, so she could only show Mane-chan, who praised her and called her a genius, saying the Onigiryaa would be very happy.

Right, whenever Okayu has to go out for recordings, she gets to see Mane-chan, who is always extremely generous with praise for whatever Okayu does. Can Okayu talk about her for a bit? Okayu really respects Mane-chan too. Over these past months, her business writings have become really easy to read and understand, but in the beginning they had a bunch of emojis, like what a gyaru would send. She’d send Okayu messages about the weather or official documents to look over, and then finish it with emojis; like a gyaru or an old man. But now Okayu studies her writing style for her own business communications. She must have really tried hard to improve so much. What? On the other hand, Okayu bought a book on pro-wrestling so she could banter with her listeners more? That’s totally different. Anyways, she has to have lots of communications with what she’s working on lately, so it’s important that she studies how to write these things properly. For instance, she’s learned about some of the tools on Discord to help make things more legible. She talks about spoilers on Discord too, and reminisces about the old spoilers that would reveal text if you just accidentally dragged your mouse over them. Well, it’s not like they’re gone, she just does most of her forms/writings on Twitter now, so she doesn’t see them anymore.

People probably still use those spoilers and stuff on their homepages. Remember how there was a time when everybody had their own homepages? She thinks it was back around when Flower Lady-Oneesan taught her about BL. Actually, can Okayu tell everybody a story about homepages? She thinks she’s never told this one on stream before. Back when she was taught about BL, about 6th grade, she also learned that a lot of people ran fansites or homepages of their own. Okayu had a love for Yume Shousetsu, which were essentially self-insert fiction/fanfiction(some that even allowed the reader to put their own name in for the MC), of anime she liked, so she decided to make a homepage to host some of her own. She went really hard on it, having sections like INFO, MAIN, BLOG, APPLAUSE, and making it accessible for phones.

It was from there on that she learned the strict etiquette of the internet. Beyond just publishing stories, there was a lot of unstated rules. For example, her information page read something like “Welcome *penguin emoji* this a site where Nekomata Okayu uploads Yume Shosetsu *smiling emoji*”, and when people gave you applause, they could include comments. So somebody told her that otaku don’t use emoji on their information page, so Okayu quickly removed them. Then she got another message saying that if she takes that kind of advice to improve her site, then she needs to thank them in the blog section for the feedback, so she did that too. Eventually her blog became nothing but thanking people for corrections. If she wrote about what she ate that day, she’d get advice about how writing about unrelated things would trouble her viewers, so she stopped doing that. Now that she’s older and understands things better, she’d just ignore the weird person giving unsolicited advice, but she was young and naïve.
