I have no problems with stuff like this as long as the art is decent, so the abomination that Meiling showed is the one that truly horrifies me. I feel sorry for you that you have to go through all that! Pat, pat! How long is that thing?

And yes, editing in general is by far the more time consuming part of the process, compared to translation, though it depends on the translator's grasp of the language. I suppose it really can be a full time job for really popular translators such as SaHa.

Although, one of the most critical factors is where the text is located. It's usually easy to take care of text in white text boxes, but frankly, the biggest reason why things like Touhou Socks Extra haven't been translated is because the text overlaps the art and require heavy editing, which may mess up the art, which is naturally the most important part, especially in an h-doujin. I still feel bad that I had to go with the easy method in Touhou Socks 2, but don't have the time/skill to make an edit that I'll properly be satisfied with. What's generally the best strategy for tackling things like this?
