He also said that giant rats and devil bugs are among the most numerous monsters, but this doesn't equal them necessarily breeding more rapidly than humans. It just means they are fertile by monster standards (since standard being much less fertile than humans).

Vamp mosquitos are likewise noted for being more fertile than average monsters, but KC still notes they don't reproduce anywhere near the speed of real mosquitos. I think it's safe to say even the most fertile monsters only have a few young at a time (excepting perhaps giant ant and honey bee queens).
