USN - most of their new BBs and CVs were ugly as fuck, CA wise they're decent but lack the ocean liner with big guns appeal that British ones have, American CLs went down hill after Brooklyns and Omahas were ugly even on WW1 CL standards
IJN - the promised land of pagodas and cancerous turret arrangements, had Akizukis and RJ when it comes to cute boats but other than that it is wasteland of ugliness
Marine Nationale - guess that they're ok if you're into that whole scuttled burning wreck thing
Regia Marina - Giuseppe Miraglia was pretty cute but other than that RM didn't really have any particularly good looking boats, but then again it didn't have any particularly ugly ones either so it sorta balances out
Kriegsmarine - pretty meh outside of the two old pre-dreads they kept around, and even then the Swedish Sverige-class pulls of that pre-dread look far better than they did
Red Fleet - the only reason why Fusous and Ises weren't the ugliest BBs of WW2 is the fact that Gangut and her sisters existed

It grows on you after a while desu. At first sight I thought that it was pretty fucking ugly too but as the time went on and I saw it more and more it started to look charming and quirky.
