Often some sort of creator god precluding existence, as is usually found in most religions (YHWH, Brahma, Chaos, Plato's Demiurge, etc.) that usually fucks off and takes a backseat after creating the whole of creation and creating gods from its very being during the process that take up the role of managing reality. If you're wondering who usually created the creator god, they usually aren't created themselves and preclude the idea of creation (hence being the divine entity that creates creation, the divide between good and evil, light and dark, night and day, etc.).

Human-related sacrifice isn't exactly a common form of worship in Greek mythology and is usually done when demanded by the gods. Typically, animals or various kinds of crops or food would be sacrificed with the latter being ceremonially slaughtered and be presented to the parishioners and the gods as a feast meal. The Greeks would feast alongside their gods, it was believed. While religious prostitution was a thing in Greek society, the only notable example was in Corinth in temples dedicated to Aphrodite, whose sphere encompasses love and pleasure so Hecatia wouldn't be involved with that. As a Greek goddess (depending on the region), you'd probably offend Hecatia by wasting the lives of what could have been children and thus earn her ire. As an Anatolian deity, she probably wouldn't appreciate it as much as the standard animal sacrifice in Mesopotamia would otherwise, as her connection to reproduction and pleasure are further separated than that of pleasure and love goddesses like Aphrodite, so it'd be an inappropriate sacrifice, as fertility and pleasure are not her spheres (but in later Greek antiquity childbirth is, which isn't usually associated with pleasure or semen).

In short, sacrifapping is a bad form of religious reverence for Hecatia and is inappropriate as her spheres of influence have little to do with sex, despite being the nurse of the gods and later being known as a virgin goddess of childbirth.

That got me thinking though, what if some dude had a S&M relationship with a goddess and one of the forms of domination they practice is miracle-domming, where the goddess unloads a fuckton of ill omens and curses on her romantic lover?
