Okay, years of lonely Alice doujinshi made that one feel worse than usual. I am going to apologize to fictional character. All the same, I don't think Alice is that great of a character in the series, outside of her IN role. Though she's fun to use in the fighters, her character is rather stale otherwise. That's why I say her dolls are better than her because without them she'd be nothing but nostalgia material. She lives on their popularity and the joke that Reimu never remembers who she is or acknowledges her.

And shippers. No one dies in the perverse eyes of a shipper.
