Biological nomenclature doesn't really follow classical Latin pronunciation though. This is one thing that really triggers my autism. Scientist should have imposed either Classical or Ecclesiastical Latin (probably the latter considering the time when this all began). Instead now we get regional variations like the Anglo-Latin シネラリア. It should be either キネラリア in Classical or チネラリア in Ecclesiastical. Hell I even had to use Katakana just now because English is one of the least consistent language as far as pronunciation goes and I would have had trouble getting the right sound across. This is why it shouldn't be used in science. Same reason why the English units aren't in the International System of Units. Just look at this clusterfuck.
