Now that I finally got more Kongous I think I can actually go back to my original formation plan. I wanted one fleet with fleet carriers and heavy cruisers or Kongous, and another with slow battleships and Junyo/Hiyo/other light carriers. Problem was at the time I had no Kongous and neither my heavy cruisers nor carriers could do shit to enemy battleships and elite heavy cruisers. So I wound up having to just throw Mutsu and Yamashiro in with my main carriers and watch my fuel and ammo vanish. But now, using Haruna/Kongou/Kirishima with Kaga and Akagi has been working nicely grinding the first battle of 2-4 while spending way less fuel and ammo than before.

That's why my Inazuma is lvl 36, I kept her as my flagship forever. She finally got passed by Mutsu though due to MVPs, plus I just can't afford to use her in lots of situations anymore; like when I'm grinding new ships and need a few powerful ships to carry the battle.

Depth charges are for submarines of course. Like I said back at >>11294174 you want to get hold of a first-strike torpedo (甲標的), they can be crafted but getting a lvl 12 Chitose/Chiyoda is the most reliable way to acquire them.
