English has it's own problems but in general the English speaking population have a clearer understanding of the written word because it is so similar tot he spoken one using a simple alphabet of 24 characters. When you get into an alphabet which comprises hiragana, katakana, english and 8000 characters of kanji there is no comparison.

I work in Japan you fag I don't need to quit. But that doesn't change that the language is fucked by design. If you knew the history of how they came up with the Japanese Kanji system you'd understand why they fucked it up.
