Wha? like yeah irrc he was training as a farrier but he wasn't a child. That's just his backstory, what allows the plot to progress. If he wasn't a farrier, he wouldn't know how to deal with horses. Like, I agree that It was a bit contrived to get the horse to fall over and submit that easy, but it didn't bother me because it set up the actual meat of the story, which is the scheming and interplay between all the characters. And there's a reason for her to submit. She's incredibly insecure and a little desperate. A little story contrivance is annoying, but not that big a deal

Okay? Yeah, he does, because his adoptive mother is a vile, scheming succubus who he doesn't like or trust. How else you gonna protect yourself from her? Guns don't really work on supernatural beings.

Anon, that's not a meme. I get it if you don't like the character, but that doesn't make it a "meme."

That is also just part of the plot... There are characters and some of them are dicks to the mc, which he doesn't appreciate, leading to, yknow, the "vengeance" thing.

I mean, I won't. You just seem to balk at the story having a plot at all. Flip this on its head- If all you want in your mg story is smut, there are plenty of "stories" out there for you. But if you care about an actual *plot*, yknow, setup, payoff, characters with motivations that affect each other in positive and negative ways, there aren't too many options out there.
It feels like you got bored and stopped reading pretty early on.

Undead parties every weekend!

How do things pan out for those few zombies who become wights all on their own? Are they at risk of going feral?
